Wrapping Up a Great Season

Our 2017-2018 season has come to an end & the girls spent all season training and competing with focus & dedication. These girls committed to their practice, their team and to themselves to train hard, stay focused and keep healthy minds and bodies.

The Maple Grove Gymnastics Team was once again Varsity Conference Champions, meaning the team won every dual meet this season. This is the second year in a row the team has achieved this! The MGGT was also JV Conference Champions ending the year with their season high of 135.55 at JV Conference.

We had a great meet at Sections, coming in 2nd place with a 146.025 & two individuals qualifying for the Minnesota State Competition - Emma Eungard (11th grade) and Nadia Abid (10th grade). These two girls rocked it at the state meet & Nadia finished placing 2nd on beam.

This year the MGGT was a group of girls who became very close and good friends throughout the year. It is clear that each girl cares deeply about every other girl on the team wanting them to succeed in their gymnastics goals but also in their lives outside of the gym. This made our season all the better! There were many times of laughter, cheering, supporting each other, sometimes tears, but always big love for each other.

We can't wait to see all the work the girls will put in during the off-season training & the skills they will bring to the team next year. We will miss our three senior captains next year, but we are in for a great year with Emma Eungard, Nadia Abid & Grace Ducosin leading us as our new captains!
